Yale Bulldogs takes Bite Out of Penn Quakers at Palestra

Philadelphia PA: Ivy league basketball came to “The Cathedral of College Basketball” The Palestra on the campus of University of Pennsylvania on Friday night as the Penn Quakers took on the Yale Bulldogs. Penn comes into game with a (6-6, 0-1 in Ivy League) and off a loss to Princeton on January 7 while Yale enters Ivy League encounter against Penn with a (8-5, 0-0 in Ivy League) and off a 56 point win over Mitchell also on January 7.
Penn won the tip to start the game and Yale would get to business right away as they would score the games first 7 points for early 7-0 lead, Penn would get on the board with basket from AJ Brodeur. The Bulldogs would grow the lead as high as 9 at 25-16 with 5:40 left, The Quakers would go on a run late in the 1st half which saw the tie the game at 27 on foul shots from Max Rothschild with 1:55 left. The Bulldogs would retake the lead and take a 34-32 lead into halftime.
Penn got ball to start the 2nd half and the Bulldogs would continue to make things very difficult for Quakers. The Bulldogs would get the lead as high as 15 points on 2 separate occasions at 57-42 with 7:29 left & 65-50 with 3:41 left. the Quakers just did not have an answer for them as a Crowd of 2903 saw the Yale Bulldogs come into the Palestra and take down the Quakers 68-60. With he win, Yale goes to (9-5, 1-0 in Ivy League) & Penn falls to (6-7, 0-2 in Ivy League). Both Penn & Yale have 24 hours to get over this game as they both play on Saturday, Penn hosts Brown & Yale takes on Princeton.
