Wozniacki leads Freedoms to comeback win over Lasers

Villanova PA: It is always an exciting time when the top tennis players in the world take part in World Team Tennis and one of those players took center stage as former Number 1 player in the world Caroline Wozniacki played for the Philadelphia Freedoms as they took on Springfield Lasers on Tuesday night from The Pavilion on the campus of Villanova University. The Freedoms enter the match with a 2-0 record while Springfield comes into encounter with Freedoms with a 0-2 record.
Springfield Lasers would take early control of the match by winning the first 2 sets which was Men’s Singles & Women’s Doubles. The Freedoms would wake up as they would come from behind to take the last 3 sets which was Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles and Mixed Doubles. Caroline Wozniacki stole the show by dominating the 4th set which gave the Freedoms a 15-13 lead heading into the final set.The Freedoms would win the final set for a 20-16 win. A crowd of 2,651 was in attendance that saw a very good exciting match as the Freedoms would go to 3-0 on the season.
