William & Mary take down Drexel in CAA Play

Philadelphia PA: Early on in 2016 and college basketball in conference play in full swing, On Thursday night from the Daskalakis Atlantic Center on the campus of Drexel University as the Drexel Dragons hosted the William & Mary Tribe. Drexel comes into game with a record of (2-11 & 0-2 in CAA) and off a loss to Elon on January 2 while William & Mary enters game with record of (9-4, 1-1 in CAA) and off a win over Charleston also on January 2. This was Drexel first home conference game this season.
Drexel won the tip to start the game and they would get a shot clock violation, the dragons would score the games first points on basket by Terrell Allen, The Tribe would answer back and score their first points by Daniel Dixon. William & Mary would take their first lead of the game on a dunk by Terry Tarpey for the 7-6 lead at 15:45 left in the half. Drexel would open up a 7 point lead at 16-9 with 11:45 left in the half, then the turning point of the game took place as William & Mary would go on a 22-0 run to grown the lead to 30-16 and Drexel would end the run with foul shots by Rodney Williams with 5:26 left in the half. William & Mary would lead 44-27 over Drexel at Halftime
William & Mary got the ball to start the 2nd half and both teams would score, the dragons would go on a run to get back into the game as they would cut the lead down to 11 points at 48-37 with 15:43 left. The Tribe would take full control of the 2nd half and make things more difficult for the dragons to make a comeback. Tribe would go the lead up to 19 points at 64-45 with 7:54 left, Drexel would try to come back but they would fall short as Willian & mary would hold on for a 72-63 win to go 10-4 on the season & 2-1 in conference play while win the loss Drexel falls to 2-12 and 0-3 in conference play.
