Villanova Runs over Delaware 78-47

Philadelphia PA: On Sunday November 30 from Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia, College Basketball made it’s season debut for 2014-15 season as 12th ranked Villanova Wildcats hosted Delaware Blue Hens. Villanova comes into game off a win over Michigan in the Progressive Legends Classic on November 25 while Delaware comes into game off a loss to Stanford also on November 25. The game was broadcasted on FOX Sports 1 with Jeff Levering & Tarik Turner calling the action.
Delaware won the tip to start the game, Villanova would score the games first 4 points from Daniel Ochefu, Delaware got on the board from 2 point basket by Eric Carter. Villanova would jump out to an 11 point lead at 17-6 with 8:36 left in 1st half, Delaware would make a run to cut the lead to 5 points at 17-12 with 5:48 left. Villanova would further increase the lead and would take a 34-16 lead at halftime.
Villanova got ball to start 2nd half and they would hit 2 straight 3 pointers to start the half for a 40-16 lead. Villanova would come alive in the 2nd half so would the 3 pointers as they would hit 9-18 from 3pt range, Delaware would try to make a run to make it not a really lopsided blowout. Villanova would get the lead to 35 points with 2:20 left. Villanova would dominate this game from start to finish as they win this game 78-47 in front of 11,289 in attendance . Delaware falls to 0-5 on the season while Villanova goes to 6-0.
