Villanova Knockout Pace Setters in Exhibition game

Philadelphia PA: When the Calendar turns to November and that means the start of College Basketball season and that College Basketball made its 2015-16 season debut at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia as the Number 11 ranked Villanova Wildcats hosted Pace University in an exhibition game. Villanova comes into the season winning the 2015 Big East Tournament and receiving a number 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament where they fell to NC State in the 3rd round, while PACE Universality enters the 2015-16 season off a 5-23 season. This game also marked the debut of Villanova freshman guard Jalen Brunson.
Pace University won the tip to start the game and scored the game’s first points on a three pointer by Ryan Peterson for the early 3-0 lead then Victor Jusino makes it 5-0 Pace University, Villanova would get on the board with 2 point basket by Ryan Arcidiacono to cut the lead to 5-2. Josh Hart would give Villanova an 6-5 lead with his two point basket. Pace University would take it to Villanova early in the first half and grow the lead to 8 points at 14-6 with 13 minutes left in the first half. Villanova would wake up and start to get back into the game Daniel Ochefu would score 4 straight points to tie the game at 16 with 8:42 left in 1st half & Josh Hart would give Villanova the lead at 7:52 of the first half. Villanova would go on a 20-2 run to end the first half as Villanova lead 38-20.
Pace got ball to start the 2nd half and they would score right away with a 3 pointer by Mike Demello. Villanova would score their first points of the 2nd half on basket by Daniel Ochefu. Villanova would just take full control of the game and Pace University would try to make this a competitive game but Villanova was too much as Villanova would win this game by 35 points by the score of 80-45. After the game there was a post-game autograph session with the Villanova players on the floor of the Wells Fargo Center which saw a crowd of 4,893 in attendance for the exhibition game. Villanova opens their season on Friday November 13 when they host Fairleigh Dickinson.
