Villanova beats USC in Battle 4 Atlantis

(PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas) On Thursday November 28 from Imperial Arena in Paradise Island, Nassau , Bahamas. College Basketball took center stage on Thanksgiving as Villanova Wildcats took on the USC Trojans in the quarterfinals of Battle 4 Atlantis. The Battle 4 Atlantis is in its third season and features a field that includes Iowa, Tennessee, Kansas, Wake Forest, UTEP and Xavier. Villanova came into game off a win over Delaware on November 22, while USC comes into game off a win over West Alabama on November 21. The game was broadcasted on AXS TV with Kenny Rice & Seth Davis calling the action & it was broadcasted locally on CBS Sports Radio 610 with Ryan Fannon & Whitey Risby calling the action.
USC won the Opening tip to start the game, the games first points came from Villanova Ryan Arcidiacono by hitting a 3 pointer, then Darrun Hilliard hits another 3 pointer for the early 6-0 lead, USC finally got on the board when Omar Oraby hits jump shot to cut Villanova lead to 6-2. hallway through the 1st half, Villanova Dylan Ennis made his season debut after breaking his right hand in the preseason. Villanova would take over the rest of the 1st half as they would take a 48-37 lead into halftime.
Villanova would start the 2nd half & Villanova Daniel Ochefu would throw down a big dunk to open the scoring in the 2nd half. Villanova would not look back as Villanova holds on to a 93-79 Win & Villanova will play either No. 2 Kansas or Wake Forest in Friday’s semifinals while USC will meet the other in the consolation round.
