Villanova beats Penn for Coach Talley’s 200th Win

(Villanova PA) On Saturday September 28 from Villanova Stadium, the Villanova Wildcats took on the Penn Quakers in a Big 5 Rivalry game. Villanova came into game having just beat Stony Brook. Penn came into having won beat Lafayette. Coming into game, Villanova Coach Andy Talley was one win away from getting his 200th win as Villanova head coach. The game was Broadcasted on Villanova Radio (CBS Sports Radio 610 AM) with Joe Eichhorn & Ryan Fannon, On Penn Radio (WNTP 990 AM) it was Brian Seltzer & Hench Murray.
Villanova won the toss & deferred to 2nd half. The game first points came form Villanova when John Robertson finds Joe Price for 15 yard touchdown for a early 7-0 lead. Late in 1st quarter, Penn was driving down to Villanova red zone, Penn Attempts a field goal & it gets blocked by Rakim Cox& returned for a 73 yard touchdown by Craig James. Villanova would add another touchdown before halftime when Robertson finds Poppy Livers from 50 Yards out to make it 21-0. Nova took a 21-0 lead into halftime.
The 2nd half was the same in the first half . Penn finally gets into the red zone when Spencer Kulcsar catches a 9 yard td catch, Villanova responds when Robertson runs it in from 36 yards out to make it 28-6. Villanova would ice the game when Robertson finds Poppy Livers for the 2nd time tonight from. Villanova defeats Penn 35-6 & Coach Talley picks up his 200th win as Villanova Head coach
