Vick says he has to accept his role “like a man”

Michael Vick was officially benched a few weeks ago after suffering a serious concussion. It was clear that once Vick went down he wouldn’t be starting another game this season. It seems quite obvious he won’t be with the Eagles next season, I guess he better start playing players rewards card in the meantime.
Vick says he has to accept his role as the Eagles’ third string quarterback for the final two games of the season.
“I’m a competitor, and I’ve always felt like and will continue to feel like I’m one of the best and can play at a high level … I want to be out there,” Vick said, via the Philadelphia Daily News. “I want to play, but it’s just not the ideal situation right now. … I have to accept my role, accept it like a man, continue to find positives out of it.”
“I have a lot of football left in me, a lot left in my tank … the future will take care of itself,” Vick said.
It was only few years ago that Vick dominated the offense, becoming a notable MVP candidate. Wherever Vick winds up next season, he will take full leadership to his role. He has turned out to be quite an athlete both on and off the field.
