USA Women’s Soccer takes down Colombia

Chester PA: We are only 4 months away from the 2016 Summer Olympics taking place in Rio de Janeiro starting on August 5, and the USA Women’s National team is working on new things as they prepare for the Olympics as they took on Colombia in an International Friendly at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester PA on Sunday afternoon. The Team USA played this same Colombia team Last Wednesday and they knocked them out 7-0.
USA started the game with the opening kick and early on both teams were feeling each other out to see how the rest of the game would go, The USA would have some very good scoring chances lead by Christen Press and Carli Lloyd, as both of them had some very good scoring chances, the USA was in control of the match. The games first goal came in the 26th minute as Christen Press would put home the shot off a nice pass from Lindsey Horan for the early 1-0 lead. USA would continue to take control of the game and would add to the lead as Julie Johnston put home a nice shot off an great pass from Tobin Heath for 2-0 lead as they head into halftime.
The United States would continue to make things very difficult for Colombia, USA would add to the lead when the combination of Tobin Heath and Julie Johnston strikes again in the 79th Minute as the United States would take down Colombia 3-0 in front of a Sold Out Crowd of 17,275
