The USA kept a perfect record at the ice hockey world championships after edging Norway 2-1 on Saturday for their second win in as many games. Norway took an early lead but LA Kings forward Trevor Lewis put the USA level in the 13th minute and New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson scored the decider 25 minutes into the game. In the other evening game, the Czech Republic beat Latvia 4-2 in Prague to take the top spot in Group A. Latvia took a lead twice and their second goal forced a change in the Czech goal where Winnipeg Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec replaced Alexander Salak.
