Temple Defeats Tulsa to go 4-1 on Season

Philadelphia PA: On Saturday October 11 from Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia, the Temple Owls hosted Tulsa Golden Hurricanes in Temple’s Homecoming game. Tulsa comes into game off a loss tom Colorado State, while Temple comes into game off their Bye week.
Temple won the toss and received the ball to begin the game. Temple scored the games 1st Touchdown when Kenny Harper ran it in from 8 yards out for the early 7-0 lead. Tulsa would tie the game at 7 late in the 1st quarter when Zach Langer ran it in for 19 yards out, Temple would go into their bag of tricks and score a Touchdown on a fake field goal as holder Connor Reilly runs it in from 3 yards out for a 14-7 lead. Tulsa would answer back with touchdown from Mandel Dixon Jr to tie the game at 14. Temple would retake the lead late in the 2nd Quarter when PJ Walker runs it on from 5 yards out to end a 99 Yard drive, Temple took a 21-14 lead into Halftime.
Tulsa got ball to begin the 2nd half and they would tie game at 21 on Touchdown from Dane Evans. Tulsa would take the lead to start the 4th quarter on field goal from 44 yards out. Temple would retake the lead when Jalen Fitzpatrick catches touchdown for a 28-24 lead in the 4th quarter. Temple would increase the lead when Jahad Thomas runs it in from 20 yards out for a 35-24 lead. Temple would hold on for a 35-24 win to improve their record to 4-1 on the season.
