Steve Cunningham defeats Natu Visinia

Philadelphia PA: On Saturday October 18 from 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia, the boxing world came to Philly for an interesting heavyweight fight as Philadelphia own Steve “USS” Cunningham took on the undefeated heavyweight Natu “The Truth” Visinia. The fight was broadcasted on NBC Sports Network boxing series called “Fight Night” with play-by-play announcer Kenny Rice, analyst B.J. Flores and ringside reporter Chris Mannix on the call.
The first fight got started wass Edner Cherry vs Osumanu Akaba in 10 Round Junior Lightweight
Akaba 24-6 19 Kos
Cherry 32-6-17 Kos
Both Fighters had some good shots in round 1, This fight did not long as Cherry would take apart Akaba in round 2 as Cherry threw a big right hand “The Cherry Bomb” that drops Akaba 3 times in round 2 and the Referee stopped it as Cherry wins the fight by TKO at 2:15
Cherry in post-fight interview “I did not know anything about him, he was a southpaw, wanted to go left, we been working hard for this fight”
Then they showed a fight the happened earlier in the night which was Decarlo Perez vs Tyrone Brunson in a 8 round middleweight fight as Perez defeated Brunson by TKO in 5th Round.
The Main Event which was Steve “USS” Cunningham vs Natu “The Truth” Visinia in 10 Round Heavyweight fight. Steve Cunningham came into fight with a record of 27-6 with 12 Kos and came off a win over Amir Mansour back in April 2014, while Natu Visinia comes into fight with undefeated record of 10-0 with 8 KO’s and off a win over Jon Bolden back in May 2014.
Visinia had some good shots early in the first 2 rounds and looked like he had the fight in control, but Cunningham came out with some big punches in round 3. Visinia would drop Cunningham in round 5, later in the round; Visinia would have a cut in his mouth. Cunningham with a couple of big shots that rocked Visinia and the crowd at 2300 Arena was on their feet as this turned out to be a great fight. The Fight was Stopped by the ring doctor at the end of round 7 due to multiple cuts on his face and his mouth.
