Soul reach .500 with Win over Orlando

Philadelphia — On Saturday May 18 from Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Soul took on the Orlando Predators in Arena Football league action. This Game was marked by the return of former Soul head coach Doug Plank who now coaches Orlando. The soul came into the game off a ugly loss to Pittsburgh on May 11, Orlando came into the game off a win at Spokane. The game was broadcasted nationally on CBS Sports Network with James Bates,Anthony Herron with Ari Wolfe as the sideline reporter. Orlando started the game with the ball & scored the opening touchdown of game when Marion Moye-Moore scored from 10 yards out for a early 6-0 lead. The soul get on the board with a 3 yard touchdown from Larry Brackins for a early 7-6 lead, both teams would go back & forth in the first half, the soul would take a 28-19 lead into halftime.

The soul got the ball to begin the 2nd half & score on the opening drive of 2nd half when Tiger Jones scored a 40 yard touchdown to increase the lead to 35-19. Orlando responds with a touchdown by Maurice Willaims, The turning point of the game was in the 4th quarter when Soul James Romain picked off Orlando QB Aaron Garcia for a 50 yard int for Touchdown, both teams would continue to trade scores, the Soul hold on for a 61-51 in-front of 9,094 in attendance & the win moved their record to 4-4 on the season.
