Soul defeat Jacksonville in Home Opener

Philadelphia PA: On Saturday April 19 from Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia, Arena Football made its season debut in South Philly as the Philadelphia Soul hosted Jacksonville Sharks, the Soul started their first 4 games of the season on the road. The Soul comes into game off a win over Orlando on April 10 for their 1st win of the season while Jacksonville comes into game off a win over Tampa Bay on April 11. Before the game the Soul raised their 2013 AFL Conference Championship Banner to the Rafters at Wells Fargo Center and Eagles QB Nick Foles & Zack Ertz as Honoary Capitans.
Jacksonville won the Toss & defers to the 2nd half. The games first points came from Soul WR Tiger Jones with a 24 yard touchdown catch for the early 7-0 lead in the 1st quarter, Jacksonville would get on the board with a touchdown of their own from WR Jeron Harvey to cut the Soul lead to 14-7. both teams would trade Touchdowns in the 2nd quarter as the Soul would take at 27-20 lead into halftime.
Both Teams would exchange touchdowns in the 3rd which featured and amazing touchdown catch by Soul WR Ryan McDaniel for 49 yards. Soul RB Derrick Ross would have an amazing 12 yard touchdown run to increase the lead but Jacksonville would keep the game close and the play of the game as Soul Rayshaun Kizer would stop Jacksonville to secure the win as the Soul win their home opener in front of 12,311
