Soul beat Orlando in AFL Playoffs

(Philadelphia) On Saturday August 3 from Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia, the Arena Football Playoffs took center stage as the Philadelphia Soul took on the Orlando Predators in the AFL Divisional Round. The Soul come into playoffs as the number 2 seed in the American conference. This is a rematch from the regular season when the Soul beat Orlando, This game also had another storyline in that  Orlando coach Doug Plank who coach the Soul to Arena Bowl 25 last year. The game was Broadcasted Nationally on CBS Sports Network with James Bares & Anthony Herron calling the action.

The Soul won the toss, but defer to the 2nd half, Orlando would start the game with the ball. Orlando would score on Orlando 1st Play on offence with a wide open touchdown to Prechae Rodriguez for a early 7-0 lead. On the Soul 1st play on offence they go deep to Emery Sammons for a wide open touchdown, 2 plays on offence for both teams, 2 wide open touchdowns. Both the soul & Orlando each trade touchdown & Orlando would take a 34-31 lead into halftime.

The action would pick up where they left off in the 1st half when Soul strike first with a touchdown to Emery Sammons, the Orlando strikes again with Touchdown to Jarvis Williams. Soul Larry Brackins had an amazing touchdown run to give the soul the lead again at 52-48 late in 3rd quarter. the Soul would have the Play of game with they stopped Orlando on 4th & 1 from the soul 4 yard line late in 4th quarter. The soul would ice the game when they sacked Orlando QB Aaron Garcia & recovered the fumble to secure the win, the Soul hold on for a 59-55 win to advance to the Conference championship game for 2nd year in row in front of 9,641 in Attendance. The Soul need a Jacksonville to lose to Tampa bay in order for the Soul to host the Conference Championship, but Jacksonville won & now the Soul travel to Jacksonville for the Conference Championship game, this is a rematch from last year when the Soul beat Jacksonville badly.
