Sharks take Bite out of Soul in Home Opener

Philadelphia PA: The bright lights of Monday Night Football came to the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia as the Philadelphia Soul hosted the Jacksonville Sharks in their home opener, This was the rematch of last year conference championship which Jacksonville won. The Soul entered the game with a 1-0 record and off a dominating win over Cleveland back on April 1 while Jacksonville comes into game with 0-1 record & off a loss to Los Angeles on April 2.
Jacksonville won the toss and defers to 2nd half as the Soul would start the game with the ball and on the games first drive, they would throw an interception. The Sharks first drive of the game would result in the games first points as QB Tommy Grady would find WR Jackson Rodgers for the touchdown and the early 7-0 lead. The Soul would answer the Sharks touchdown as QB Dan Raudabaugh would find Darius Reynolds to tie the game at 7. both teams would exchange scores and it would be 14-14 at the end of 1st quarter. There was good amount of scoring in the 2nd quarter and the Soul would get with in as Raudabaugh would find Reynolds as time expires but the Soul would miss the extra point and the Sharks would take a 28-27 lead into halftime.
The 2nd half would belong to Jacksonville as they would take the fight to the Soul as former Soul player Tiger Jones and Joe Will would just make some big plays and the Soul had no answer for them, Darius Reynolds would get the Soul with in 1 point as the 3rd quarter ended with the Sharks leading 35-34, Joe hill would score 2 big back breaking touchdowns in the 4th quarter that would ice the game as the Sharks come into Philadelphia and walk away with a 59-41 win in front of a crowd of 8,550. The turning point in this game was the missed extra point by the Soul to end the 2nd quarter, if he would have made it, this would have been a different game. The Soul fall to 1-1 on the season as they look to get back into the winning column on April 17 as they host Portland while the Sharks go to 1-1 on the season as they look forward for a battle with in state rivals Orlando on April 18.

WR Joe Hill: 9 Catches for 154 yards and 4 receiving Touchdowns
WR Tiger Jones: 7 catches for 126 yards and 2 receiving Touchdowns
