Saint Joseph’s Defeats Richmond 61-55

On Wedesday February 13 from Hagan Arena on the Campus of Saint Joseph’s University, The Saint Joseph’s Hawks took on the Richmond Spiders in Atlantic 10 Conferecne Play. Richmond came into the game off a loss to Saint Louis while Saint Joseph’s came off a loss to Massachusetts. The Game was broadcasted locally on the Comcast Network with Phillies Announcer Tom McCarthy & ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi calling the action. The Hawks started the game off with the ball & the first points of game came from Carl Jones,  First points for Richmond goes to Alonzo Nelson-Ododa for 2 PTS at Foul line, makes 1 of 2 from line. it was a very tight first half until richmond opened their lead & the BOO Birds came out late in the first hald due to the way the hawks were playing. Richmond took a 36-27 lead over Hawks at halftime.

Richmond starts with the ball to begin the 2nd half, the turning point of the game happend early in the 2nd half when the Saint Joseph’s Hawks went on a 15-0 run to start the 2nd half that lasted for 6 minutes, Richmond did not score into the 2nd half when there was 13:35 left in 2nd half  Hawks Ronald Roberts had a thunder dunk that woke the crowd up at Hagan arena. Hawks Langston Galloway hits a big three pointer with 19.7 seconds left that would seal the game. the Saint joseph’s Hawks would end their losing streak by beating the Richmond Spiders 61-55
