Rochester Defeats Wings 11-7

Philadelphia PA: on Sunday March 16 from the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia, the rivalry between Rochester & Philadelphia was back on center stage as the Wings hosted the Knighthawks for the 1st time in philly this season a day before Saint Patrick’s Day, The Wings came into this game with a record of 3-8 on the season and coming off a loss to Rochester on March 8. Rochester comes into game with record of 8-3 and coming in off a win over Toronto on March 15. The Wings already loss the 2 previous games to Rochester this season all in Rochester.
The Wings won the opening faceoff to start the game & the Knighthawks would scores the games first 4 goals for the early 4-0 lead. The wings made goalie change as Evan Kirk got pulled for Brandon Miller, the Wings finally get on the
board when Jordan Hall scored & there was a fight that broke out when Wings Tracey Kelusky took on Ian Llord. Jordan Hall would score his 2nd of the game in the 2nd quarter but the Wings could not cut the lead down as the Knighthawks took a 5-2 lead into halftime.
The Wings would make a comeback in the 3rd quarter by scoring 4 goals lead by Kevin Crowley who would score 3 straight goals for the hat trick and Brodie Merrill also scored in the 3rd & the Knighthawks would also score 3 goals in the quarter. Wings Ryan Ward would score to cut Rochester lead to 8-7 just 32 seconds into the 4th quarter but that would not be enough as the Rochester holds on for a 11-7 win. Rochester Dan Dawson also scored a hat trick, with the loss, the Wings fall to 3-9 on the season & Rochester goes to 9-3 on the season.
