Philly’s Eddie Alvarez takes on Conor McGregor at UFC 205 at MSG

Philadelphia PA: Back in July, History was made in the UFC as Eddie Alvarez would becomes the 1st UFC fighter from Philadelphia to win a UFC Championship when Alvarez defeated Rafael dos Anjos by TKO in Round 1 during UFC 200 Fight Week, then he asked for a fight against Conor McGregor baring if he defeated Nate Diaz at UFC 202, “ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE”.
Late Monday Night, UFC President Dana White announced on SportsCenter to Scott Van Pelt that Kensington native Eddie Alvarez would defend his UFC Lightweight Championship for the 1st time against the guy that he wanted to fight in Conor McGregor in the Main Event of UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden on November 12. UFC 205 will be the 1st Ever UFC event to be held in Madison Square Garden. The Current UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is going to attempt to make history in becoming the first-ever simultaneous two-weight world champion. McGregor will be coming into the fight against Alvarez off a win over Nate Diaz in the rematch back in August.
When Philly Sports Live caught up to Eddie Alvarez 3 weeks after winning the title, and asked him about a possible fight with McGregor and said the following “I think McGregor is a Easier fight than the other guys that I have been fighting so I have fought number 5,3 & number 1 and the champion, I think McGregor would be a easy fight compared to the guys that I have been fighting, I think he is a easier match for me”
