Orlando City Ruins Union Celebration for Playoffs

Chester PA: The Push for the MLS playoffs continues on with 1 more week to go, the Philadelphia Union had a golden opportunity to clinch a playoff spot as they took on Orlando City on Sunday afternoon from Talen Energy Stadium in Chester PA. The Union enter this game after being off for 2 weeks following loss to New York on October 1 while Orlando City enters game vs Union off a loss to Montreal on October 2. A loss by New England with a Union win or tie would get them into the playoffs.
Orlando City started the game with the ball and both teams would have some scoring chances and there was some tough fouls that were called into the game. In the 29th Minute, Union Fabian Herbers had a golden opportunity to open the scoring but the right footed shot from the right side of the box went high. A very bizarre play happened in the 42nd minute Orlando City Kaka took a shot that deflects off union defender, hits the inside of the post, and Andre Blake made the save. Both teams would head into halftime still scoreless.
Union Started the 2nd half with the ball and they would have some scoring opportunities. The games first goal would happen in the 59th minute as Orlando City would take the ball down and Union defender Fabinho tried to control it and it would get close tot he goal but Union defender Keegan Rosenberry tried to stop it before going into the net and they gave credit to Carlos Rivas for 1-0 lead, Orlando would ice the game in stoppage time for a 2-0 win.
Crowd of 18,007 saw a very bad performance by a team that had a golden chance to make the playoffs but now it comes down to next week as Union need to win or DRAW against New York Red Bulls Next Week at home to get into the playoffs.
