Nerlens Noel looking good in practice!

Finally, Brett Brown can lend toward Nerlens Noel’s progress and eventual return, however, remains level. Even if Noel does not play this season and there’s very little chance he does, with eight  games remaining. However, Brown has seen enough redeeming qualities out of the 19-year-old center to warrant excitement.

Noel, the Sixers’ rookie center, has yet to play while rehabbing from the left knee surgery he underwent more than a year ago. Noel had tweeted last month the numbers, “4-4-14,” which most assumed was the date on which he would prefer to make his NBA debut. Fittingly, that’s when the Sixers will face the Celtics in Boston, which is a close drive to Noel’s hometown.

Whether with his back to the net or going face-up, Noel looked good. Not great, but he looked as well as a player could for not having played a real-time game in 13 months.

“I look forward to playing with him and getting some old chemistry back,” said Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams, a teammate of Noel’s with the Boston-based AAU team BABC.

Carter-Williams was named the NBA’s Rookie of the Month Tuesday. He scored in double figures in 13 of the 16 games the 76ers played in March and led all rookies in scoring, assists, rebounds and steals.
