Eagles Cut Mike Patterson a Few Hours After Releasing Jenkins
- Updated: February 26, 2013
The Philadelphia Eagles part ways with Mike Patterson a few hours after letting fellow defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins go on Monday. Patterson’s release was expected considering he is the Eagles’ longest-tenured player and would be earning $4 million next season. With Patterson and Jenkins gone, the Eagles have only four defensive tackles on the roster: Fletcher Cox, Cedric Thornton, Antonio Dixon and Derek Landri. They now have more than $30 million in salary cap space.
