Jenkins & Brunson take down Pirates

Newark NJ: One of the big games during the weekend came from the Big East Conference and it featured #2 Villanova Wildcats took on Seton Hall Pirates from a SOLD OUT Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday afternoon. Villanova comes into game with (25-2, 12-2 in Big East) and off a win over DePaul on February 13 while Seton Hall enters battle against Wildcats with (16-9, 6-7 in Big East) and off a Win over Creighton on February 15. Villanova forward Darryl Reynolds is OUT for the 3rd game in row with a Rib Injury.
Seton Hall won the tip to start the game and the would score right away with basket by , Kris Jenkins got Villanova on the board with 3 pointer. Villanova would take their 1st lead on layup by Donte DiVincenzo, the Wildcats have slowed down the pace after the fast start by the Pirates. Seton Hall trying to keep the game close, Villanova opened up to 27-21 lead with 4:50 left in 1st half. Seton Hall hits 3 pointer to cut the Villanova lead down to 2 at 29-27 with 3:10 left. Villanova would go on 11-0 run to end the 1st half as they would lead 42-31 at halftime.
Villanova got ball to start 2nd half and score right away on basket by Paschall for 45-31 lead and the run would grow to 16 on dunk by Bridges which leads to early timeout, Villanova would make things very difficult for Seton Hall to get back into the game as Villanova would go on a 22-0 run going from the end of 1st half into the 2nd half that would blow this game wide open. Josh Hart would throw down a monster dunk after missed 3 pointer by Bridges. Villanova would just take it to Seton Hall and Pirates had no answer. A crowd of 16,733 saw Villanova come and take down the Pirates by the score 92-70, Win the win, Villanova now goes to (26-2, 13-2 in Big East) and now have to get ready for Butler on Wednesday while Seton Hall falls to (16-10,6-8 in Big East) and now to rebound against Xavier on February 22.
