Japan Defeats Pennsylvania to win Little League World Series

South Williamsport PA:  Everyone dreams about making the championship game in their league and that is what took place on a hot summer Sunday at Howard J. Lamade Stadium as Toyko Japan took on Lewisberry Pennsylvania in the championship game of the Little League World Series. Both teams made the finals with walk off wins in the semifinal games as Toyko defeated Mexico to win the international championship game while Pennsylvania defeated Texas to win the USA championship. The game was broadcasted nationally on ABC. Pennsylvania was the home team. the Lineups went as followed:

Japan would open the scoring in the top of the first when Kabu Kikuchi would hit a 2 run double for the early 2-0 lead. Red Land would answer back with a huge bottom of 1st when Chayton Krauss with RBI single to score Braden Kolmansberger to get Red Land on the Board, down 2-1, Ethan Phillips with RBI single tied the game at 2. Japan starter gets taken out for Masafuji Nishijima, Jake Cubbler drew a bases-loaded walk to give Red Land a 3-2 lead. The big shot of the game off Dylan Rodenhaber bat when he would hit a grand slam to give Red Land a 7-2 lead, then Jaden Henline hits 3 run home run to make it 10-2 Red Land in the 1st. Japan would answer back with a huge 2nd inning where they put up 7 runs to cut the lead to 10-9 which featured a 3 run home run by Yugo Aoki, then Japan Kengo  and Shingo Tomita each hit solo home runs, then Masafuji Nishijima with 2 run double which made it 10-9. Japan ties game at 10 in the 3rd inning when Shingo Tomita hits 2nd home run of game, then Masafuji Nishijima his a big 3 run home run to give Japan a 13-10 lead. Red Land gets a Run back on Error by Japan as Jaden Henline hits a shot to 3rd, 13-11. Japan would open the game open in the 6th inning as the pitching for Red Land would not show up and Japan would 5 runs to make it 18-11 and they would hold on to that score to win the 2015 Little League World Series.

A crowd of 42,218 was in attendance for the championship game, including Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf.  The last time that a team from Pennsylvania won the US Championship before this year was Shippensburg, PA in 1990 & the last time they won the Championship was 1960 which was won by Levittown, PA.
