The 6’0” 177-lb center adds more physical presence with versatility to the Flyers offense and defense. As a tremendous two-way player, many teams around the league will fear Laughton. Already being compared to the caliber of former captain Mike Richards, Laughton is a determined hard worker who can fight, hit, and score; truly a Philly sensation.

In Central Scouting’s final rankings, Scott Laughton was ranked as North America’s 28th-best skater. Laughton always finds a way to out work his opponents no matter what the situation is. Last season for the Generals, Laughton had 21 goals and 32 assists managing 53 points while tallying 101 penalty minutes in 64 games.

The rivalry has already started with Laughton and the Pittsburgh Penguins. A night Laughton will never forget, he was booed in Pittsburgh, as expected.Pittsburgh will be in Philadelphiafor the third game of the season so if and when Laughton makes the final roster, expect hell Pittsburgh.

Philadelphia welcomes Scott Laughton and his family to the City of Brotherly Love!
