Eagles Training Camp at Lincoln Financial Field

Philadelphia, PA — Sunday July 28, 2013 the Philadelphia Eagles held their first training camp practice at Lincoln Financial field. This was also the first Padded Practice under New Coach Chip Kelly. Before the gates opened, the Eagles announced that Donovan McNabb will officially retire as an Eagle on Monday July 29, 2013.

Jeremy Maclin was at practice on crutches a day after tearing his ACL in  his right knee which put an end to a season that had not even started. Before the practice began, the Eagles honored their alumni players; including Brian Westbrook, Brian Dawkins, Donovan McNabb, Ike Reese,, Mike Quick, Tra Thomas, Hollis Thomas, Tommy McDonald, Fred Barnett, AJ Feely, LB Bill Bergey, John Spagnola, Vince Papale, P Sean Landeta, Garry Cobb, John Runyan , Vaugh Hebron. McNabb, Dawkins, Westbrook, Hollis Thomas, Ike Reese, and Vince Papale.

DeSean Jackson worked on special teams as it was announced that he would be returning punts this season. Riley Cooper took Maclin’s spot in the rotation with the 1st team. Fans kept a sharp eye on the quarterbacks to see who would be the starter against the Washington Redskins to start the Regular season. Mike Vick took the 1st team reps when they did the 7 on 7 drill, Nick Foles got the 1st team reps when they did the 11 on 11 drill against the defense.

Following practice, Eagles announced that DT Antonio Dixon pulled his hamstring & Todd Herremans Tweaked his Knee, appeared not to be serious.
