Eagles beat Lions in “SNOW BOWL”

Philadelphia Pa On Sunday December 8 from a snow filed Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Eagles hosted the Detroit Lions in a big game regarding the NFC playoff standings as both come in with a record of 7-5. The Eagles came into game off a win over the Arizona Cardianls in Week 13, while the Lions beat the Packers on Thanksgiving. The game was Broadcasted to most of the nation on FOX Kevin Burkhardt, John Lynch & Molly McGrath, also broadcasted Locally on 94 WIP with Merrill Reese, Mike Quick & Howard Eskin.
The Lions won the toss & elected to receive, both teams would struggle in the 1st quarter as they had a hard time dealing with he snow, Nick Foles would throw his 1st interception of the season halfway through the 2nd quarter, which ended his streak of 237 consecutive passes without throwing an interception. The Lions would take in for the touchdown from Joique Bell & also picked up the 2 point conversion for a 8-0 lead. The Lions would take it to the half leading 8-0.
The Eagles start 2nd half with ball & do nothing with it, the Lions would add more to the lead when Jeremy Ross takes a 58 yard punt for a touchdown for a 14-0 lead. the Eagles finally wake up and move ball into the endzone when Nick Foles finds DeSean Jackson for a 19 yard touchdown & fail to get 2 point conversion to cut lions lead to 14-6. The Eagles would make a lot of noise in the 4th quarter as they have not scored any points in the 4th quarter but that would change as LeSean McCoy would score a 40 yard touchdown to be a 2 point conversion from tying the game & they get it from Bryce Brown tying game at 14. not even 30 seconds latter, the Lions would retake the lead as Jeremy Ross takes the kickoff 99 yards for the touchdown for a 20-14 lead. The Eagles respond as LeSean McCoy takes his 2nd touchdown of game from 57 yards out to tie game at 20 & the eagles take their 1st lead of game when Riley Cooper coaches a 2 point conversion for a 22-20 lead. The Nick Foles would latter add a 1 yard QB run to make it 28-20 and then Chris Polk would take a 38 yard touchdown to ice the game as the Eagles win 34-20 to move 8-5 on the season. The Eagles now head to Minnesota to play the Vikings next week. LeSean McCoy finished with 217 rush yards & broke Steve Van Buren’s franchise record of 205 rushing yards
