Drexel takes down Northeastern at DAC

Philadelphia PA: The Daskalakis Athletic Center on the campus of Drexel University was the place to be on Wednesday night as the Drexel Dragons took on Northeastern Huskies in Colonial Athletic Association action. Drexel enters game with record of 5-14 & 3-5 in conference play and coming off a win over on College of Charleston on January 24 while Northeastern enters game with Drexel with record of 14-7, 6-2 in conference play as they come in off a loss to William & Mary also on January 24.
Northeastern won the tip to start the game and scored the games first points from a basket by Zach Stahl Drexel got on the board to tie game at 2 on basket by Damion lee. This was a very tight defensive game which saw both teams had some good shot attempts and nothing was going down, Drexel forced Northeastern into 2 shot clock violations in the 1st half. Northeastern lead the entire 1st half, Drexel made a run to end the half as they were down 29-19.
Drexel got ball to start the 2nd half and this is where the turning point of game took place as Drexel opened up the scoring with basket from Rodney Williams and went on a 11-4 run to tie the game at 35 on tip in basket by Sammy Mojica, Drexel took their 2nd lead of game on a 3 pointer by Damion lee to make it 38-35 Drexel with 12:12 left, Drexel would continue to make things hard for Northeastern as Damion Lee would take over in the 2nd half by scoring 24 points in the 2nd half including going making 10 straight foul shots to ice the game as Drexel defeats Northeastern 65-60 & picks a big conference win. With the win, Drexel goes to 6-14 & 4-5 in conference while Northeastern falls to 14-8 & 6-3 in conference.
