Drexel beats UNC Wilmington 61-50

Philadelphia PA- On Monday January 3 from Daskalakis Athletic Center on the Campus of Drexel University, the Drexel Dragons took on UNC Wilmington Seahawks in Colonial Athletic Association action. Drexel came into game off a 2 point loss to Towson on Saturday while UNC Wilmington is still looking for its 1st win in the conference this season as the lost to Delaware by 1 point also on Saturday.
Drexel won the opening tip to start the game & the games first points came from Drexel Chris Fouch for a 2 point basket, UNC Wilmington got on the board when Addison Spruill for a 2 point basket. both teams would struggle shooting & making shots in the first half, UNC Wilmington would take its first lead of game with 6:44 left in 1st half on a 2 point basket by Cedrick Williams. Drexel would come back to take the lead and would lead 29-24 at the Half.
The same thing would continue from the first half as both teams would go on long scoring droughts, UNC Wilmington would make thing interesting as the would get the lead down to 1 with under 3 minutes left , Drexel Tavon Allen would come up & make some big shots as Drexel would hold on for a 61-50 win, Drexel improves to 12-10 (4-5 in CAA) while UNC Wilmington falls to 6-17 (0-8 in CAA).
