Cincinnati defeats Temple on Senior Day

Philadelphia PA: On Saturday November 29 from Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia, the final home game of the 2014 season took place as the Temple Owls hosted the Cincinnati Bearcats & it was also Senior Day. Temple comes into game off their bye week following loss to Penn State on November 15, while Cincinnati enters game on a 5 game winning streak and off win over UConn on November 22. Temple is 1 win away from being bowl eligible.
Cincinnati won the toss & deferred to 2nd half so Temple got ball to begin the game. Both teams would struggle early on. Temple would score the games first points as Austin Jones makes a 30 yard field goal for the early 3-0 lead. Cincinnati would come back and score 2 touchdowns to end the 1st half by Mekale McKay and Mike Boone for the 14-3 lead at Halftime.
Cincinnati got ball to begin the 2nd half, Both teams would continue their struggles they had in the 1st half, Temple had some good opportunities to take the lead in this game which included a fumble by QB PJ Walker, missed field goal, bad clock management with timeouts. Cincinnati would hold on for 14-6 win, Temple falls to 5-6 on the season and it all comes down to a win & in for Temple to make a bowl game.

RB Kenny Harper: 9 Rush Attempts for 43 yards
WR Jalen Fitzpatrick: 9 catches for 77 yards
QB Gunner Kiel: 19-31 for 174 yards 1 Touchdown
RB Mike Boone: 14 rush attempts for 65 yards and 1 rush Touchdown
WR Mekale McKay: 6 catches for 39 yards & 1 touchdown
