Cheifs beat Eagles on McNabb Number Retirement

(Philadelphia PA) On Thursday September 19 from Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia, Eagles took on Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football, this also marked the return of Former Eagles Coach Andy Reid & Donovan McNabb having his Number Retired at Halftime. Eagles came into game off a loss to San Diego Chargers on Sep 15, Kansas City came into game off a Win over Dallas Cowboys on Sep 15. The game was Broadcasted Nationally on NFL Network with Brad Nessler, Mike Mayock, Alex Flanagan also broadcasted Locally on 94 WIP with Merrill Reese, Mike Quick & Howard Eskin & Nationally on Westwood One with Ian Eagle, Boomer Esiason.

Andy Reid Received a Standing Ovation as the Chiefs were introduced. Kansas City won the Toss & went 3 & out then Damaris Johnson fumbles the punt, KC would settle for a field goal, On the Eagles 1st drive of game, Vick gets Picked off by Eric Berry who returned it for a 38 yard touchdown & the Chiefs had a early 10-0 lead. Vick would break off a 61 yard run down to KC 27 yardline, then Finds Jason Avant for 22 yard touchdown to make it 10-6. KC took a 10-6 lead at end of 1st QTR, LeSean McCoy got hit hard in  he 2nd Quarter, stayed down for couple minutes but was able to walk off under his own power. It was a very tight & Sloppy 1st half for the Eagles who committed 4 turnovers. Chiefs took a 16-6 lead into halftime,

ay Halftime the Eagles retired Donovan McNabb number 5 & they had Eagles Great Brian Dawkins as the MC for the ceremony. McNabb said to the Philly fans “Number 5 will always love you”

The Sloppy play continued in the 2nd half by the Eagles, as the turnovers would hurt the eagles, Kansas City would add another field goal & a Touchdown by Jamal Charles to make it 23-9 late in 4th quarter. LeSean McCoy would keep the Eagles in the game when he scored a 41 yard touchdown, but it would not be enough as Kansas City holds on to a 26-16 win. Andy Reid a Gatorade Bath as the game ended. . The Eagles now have 10 days to get ready for Denver Broncos on Sep 29 in Denver
