CEO Guarentees Michael Vick Will Not Get Hurt!

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, has suffered several injuries over the last couple seasons. Over the course of his nine-year career Vick has played in all 16 games just once, and Vick has missed 4 games each of the last two seasons with Philly due to injury.

Apparently Unique Technologies, a Philadelphia-based company, has constructed a protective vest that their CEO guarantees will protect Vick from injury:

“I guarantee he will not get hurt,” Rob Vito, CEO of Unequal Technologies, told ESPN.com on Wednesday.

Unequal Technologies uses what Vito says is a military-grade, battle-tested composite material that has DuPont Kevlar to protect athletes from on-field injuries.

“What Michael is wearing was born on the battlefield and forged on the gridiron,” Vito said.

Vito, who signed the first new endorsement deal with Vick after he returned to the league following his prison sentence, said his company fitted Vick on Friday with its “EXO Skeleton” compression shirt that has two rib protectors on either side.

…I guess we are winning the Superbowl?

So the Eagles have Vick wearing military-style battle armor to keep him on the football field? Vick’s style of play does lead him to take more hits than the average quarterback so the vest is somewhat understandable. But what are the negatives? Will the vest slow him down? Will it be uncomfortable? I guess we will find out.

I wonder if the Eagles and Vick have a clause that will get them a refund if Vick still gets injured while wearing Unique Technologies vest…
