#9 Villanova beats Georgetown 65-60

Washington DC, On Monday January 27 from the Verizon Center in Washington DC, the number 9 Ranked Villanova Wildcats took on Georgetown Hoyas in a Big East conference game. Georgetown came into game off a loss to Creighton on Jan 25 while Villanova comes in off a overtime win against Marquette also on January 25. The Game was broadcasted on FOX Sports 1 with Gus Johnson & Bill Raftery  calling the action & locally on CBS Sports Radio 610 AM with Ryan Fannon & Whitey Risby calling the action.

Georgetown won the opening tip to start the game and scored the games first points as Nate Lubick made Jumper for the early 2-0 lead, Georgetown would open up a early 8-0 run  before Villanova got on the board as Darrun Hilliard made Three Pointer.  Villanova would take its first lead of the game from a James Bell layup for a 9-8 lead at 14:55 of 1st half. Both teams would trade the lead in 1st Half as Villanova would take over and take a 35-30 lead into halftime.

Villanova got ball to begin the 2nd half and Georgetown would tie the game at 39 from a Reggie Cameron Layup, Georgetown would retake the lead after Markel Starks makes 2 foul shots for a 41-40 lead. both would each retake the lead, the Villanova comes through and holds on for the 65-60 win.
