76ers set Roster for 2015-16 NBA Season

Philadelphia PA:  With the start of the 2015-16 NBA Season begins on Tuesday October 27, the 76ers officially open their season on Wednesday October 28 when they open the season on the road at Boston Celtics. The Sixers are looking to a lot better from going 18-64 which saw them get the number 3 pick in the draft and they selected Jahlil Okafor.

On Monday, the 76ers set their roster for the 2015-16 season and there were some tough decision that had to be and they got the 15 players that will go to battle during the season. It goes as follows:

  • Isaiah Canaan- Guard, Jersey Number 0
  • Robert Covington- Forward, Jersey Number 33
  • Joel Embiid- Center, Jersey Number 21
  • Jerami Grant- Forward, Jersey Number 39
  • Richaun Holmes- Forward, Jersey Number 22
  • Carl Landry- Forward, Jersey Number 7
  • Kendall Marshall- Guard, Jersey Number 5
  • TJ McConnell- Guard, Jersey Number 12
  • Nerlens Noel- Center, Jersey Number 4
  • Jahlil Okafor- Center, Jersey Number 8
  • JaKarr Sampson- Guard-Forward, Jersey Number 9
  • Nik Stauskas- Guard, Jersey Number 11
  • Hollis Thompson- Guard-Forward, Jersey Number 31
  • Christian Wood- Forward, Jersey Number 35
  • Tony Wroten- Guard, Jersey Number 1

To get the roster down to 15 players, the Sixers had to release the following players and they were as follows:
Pierre Jackson, Scottie Wilbekin, J.P. Tokoto, Jordan McRae & Furkan Aldemir
