Philadelphia PA: As the NBA comes back from the all star break and at this point of the season, you find out what teams are for real and which ones could not handle the pressure. The NBA Trade Deadline was Thursday at 3PM & the question is will the 76ers make any moves. Guess what they did make a move.

On Thursday the 76ers made a minor move as they acquired Joel Anthony and a 2017 second-round pick from the Houston Rockets for the rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum. The second-round pick was originally property of the Denver Nuggets.

Joel Anthony averaged 0.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in limited time with Detroit this season & has a non-guaranteed $2.5 million for 2016-17 which the Sixers would mostly waive Anthony . Joel is mostly known for his six-seasons in Miami, where he was part of the Heat’s championship teams in 2012 and 2013.

NBA Source that 76ers need to waive a roster player to complete the Joel Anthony trade
